The Volunteer Grants 2010 are now available but they close on Friday April 16th April. EVERY community group should apply as the success rate of groups receiving funding is quite high!
The Volunteer Grants 2010 ($1000 to $5000)is open for all not for profit groups and applications can be made for items on the list below. The Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs opened the Volunteer Grants 2009.
Funding is available to eligible non-profit organisations to purchase practical and tangible small equipment items to assist their volunteers, and/or to contribute towards reimbursement of fuel costs (up to $2500) incurred by volunteers in their volunteering work, including those who use their cars to transport others to activities, deliver food and assist people in need.
