Laurimar Primary students at Green building launch

CLT and Forte Launch

Forte’ will be Australia’s first timber high rise building - and at 32.17m high, the tallest in the world! Using the new building technology of Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) will allow Lend Lease to reduce CO2 equivalent emissions by more than 1,400 tonnes – the equivalent of removing 345 cars from our roads.

As part of the Forte’ launch, Laurimar Primary students were asked to paint their idea of a Green house onto CLT panels, which they did with great enthusiasm! Premier Ted Bailleu, who officially launched the Forte’ project, was very admiring of their paintings, which will feature as part of the building’s hoarding whilst it is being constructed.
