Laurimar Community Christmas Carols

The Laurimar Community Christmas Carols were held recently at Laurimar Primary school.  Because of sustained rain and subsequent flooding, the venue had to be changed from the Town Centre wetlands park to the school.

But the rain held off on the night (except for a period of about 5 minutes!) and the carols went ahead as planned.  Organised by Delfin, Laurimar primary and members of the community, the Carols featured the school choir (called the Laurikeets!), the school staff band, Whittlesea Community Choir, the Bush balladeer, Plenty Valley Baptist and community churches singers and of course Santa, who arrived with his elves and sack of lollies and was extremely popular with the little ones.

A great time was had by all, with special thanks going to all of the performers and to music teacher Tim Hemphill, who did a magnificent job organising the children and putting the program together.
