Laurimar Carols

Laurimar Carols

The night began with performances by the very cute preppies, followed by each grade singing their own Christmas song. Then Santa and his elves arrived at 7pm to a rock star reception, with kids lining up ten deep to see him.

Then it was the teachers’ turn to be up on stage, singing “Why Laurimar Christmas is great” with Principal Daryl and Assistant Principal Jason looking very fetching in their Collingwood jumpers and red tutus! They were followed by the school aerobics team and a performance by the Laurikeets rock choir.

The combined churches choir was next, singing all our favourite carols, and then came the super raffle! Tickets were free to people attending on the night, and the prizes were terrific, with the number one prize being a keenly sought after Xbox.

And the big highlight was left until last, Russell Morris and his band performing all his classic hits to a very appreciative audience.

Lend Lease would like to extend a very big thank you to Tim Hemphill for organising the music and program, and to Glynis Dickins for her work with the combined churches choir.
